Not Me! Monday

It's been a really long time since I've done a Not Me! Monday with MckMama, so I thought I would join in today.

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

We had a rather busy weekend. Saturday was a fun day, but none the less, it was still a day on the go, instead of just being home. We decided we wanted to do some swimming since it has been so ridiculously hot lately. Well of course, we woke up Saturday morning to rain and overcast skies. But, it started looking like the sun would come out around noon. So we headed for Dry Creek.
It was Not Me! who's only concern was working on my tan. I've gotten terribly pasty, white looking lately. When it's this hot outside and I have to go to work, the last thing I want to do is be out in the heat when I'm not at work. So, my tan suffers. The sun was nice enough to shine strong and hot for about 30-40 minutes and I oiled down and soaked it up.

We started off by watching Alexis have a blast on the trampoline. I did not laugh at how much fun she was having jumping around.
It was Not Me! who had even more fun after Isabel joined in on the jumping!
Then we headed for the water and splashed around for a bit before we headed back home. It was a perfect way to spend an afternoon!

Oh yeah, it was Not Me! who let my 3 year old have Oreo's for lunch today....oops!

My Movie Monday & Not Me! Monday

My Movie Monday @ Traveling Light

It's Monday once again and I'm hoping that this week is boring and normal, unlike last week which was crazy and long. I'll be joining 2 blog carnivals this morning, Chrissy @ Traveling Light for My Movie Monday and MckMama for Not Me! Monday. Hop on over to their places and see more movies and Not Me! stories. Happy Monday to you!

It was Not My Child! who was the cutest flower girl ever on Friday, but was also seen with her finger up her nose, digging for that elusive boogie that was tickling her nasal passages! When I asked her why she was picking her nose, she said, "I wasn't picking my nose Mommy, I just had an itch in my nose." And really, who can blame a girl for wanting to scratch an itch?

(This is a bad picture, but it's the only one I have for now. I have some good ones of Alexis and me on my camera, but not sure when I'll be at the store to put them on a disk. I'm the bridesmaid in watermelon that Alexis is looking at.)

It was Not Me! who spent all of Saturday and Sunday doing next to nothing because I was still trying to recover from the week with a funeral and a wedding.

It's Not Me! who still hasn't even unpacked all the bags from arriving home Friday night. I think they are making great decorations for my living room. So it's also Not Me! who has neglected the laundry all weekend and am sitting here bra-less because I don't have a clean one.

And finally it's Not Me! who thinks her child will most certainly be the next American Idol! The sound quality is bad, but you can tell she's singing because she's quite expressive! Enjoy!

Weekend Review & Not Me! Monday

Good Morning! It's Monday again and this week I'm joining MckMama for a little Not Me! confessional. Make sure you check out her blog to see what she has Not been doing this week!

It was Not Me! who was up until 2am Saturday morning and then up for a feeding at 4:30 and then up when the alarm went off at 6:10am. All so I could go to Walmart and be there when they opened at 7am to get my copy of "New Moon" on DVD! Not Me! I would never be so foolish and silly and do something so juvenile like that! It was Not Me! who was unwilling to wait until later that night when we actually went shopping at Walmart, to get the DVD, I couldn't take the chance that they would be out! By the way, they were no where near running out when we were shopping at 7pm that evening! Oh well, just another crazy thing I can say I've done now!

Friday morning I got a message from my Pampered Chef consultant letting me know that she had to cancel my show. I was also going to be having a luncheon for the women in my Redburn family. Ashley is the PC consultant and also my cousin, so she was going to be at both events. (Her Grandma went to be with Jesus Friday afternoon/evening) I decided to go ahead and cancel the luncheon as well as the PC party. So that left me with a much different game plan for my Saturday, so it was Not Me! who stopped the housework on Friday and just kind of let things go. It had been a busy week and I was tired. By Saturday morning, there was a huge pile of dishes in the kitchen, some folded up laundry in the living room, toys scattered throughout the whole house, etc.

You already heard how I started my Saturday morning with getting "New Moon"! When I got back home, I showered and headed over to my neighbors house. She was having an open house for her Scentsy products. I absolutely love the plug in warmer and scents that I got from her!

When I got back to the house at 11, Ross informed me that my good friend Amy was going to be there at noon! Therefore, it was Not Me! who turned into the Tazmanian devil on crack to get my messy house looking like something decent. It had been several years since Amy had been to the house and I know that she would have understood the mess, being my best friend and all, but I don't like any one to see my house a mess if I can keep from it. Fortunately, Ross had misunderstood what time she would be there and I get everything back in order, vacuumed, dishes done and looking all pretty before she got there.

We had a wonderful visit. Her and I were best friends when I lived in Farmington from the time we were 19 - 21, but then I moved to St. Louis and we kind of drifted apart. We reconnected back in 2007 and it's been so nice to do stuff with her again. I just wish we didn't live so far from one another. It's just a little over an hour between houses, so that limits what we get to do together. We enjoy the time we do get to see each other though. She has a adorable 6 year old step daughter and her little baby girl is 2 weeks older than Isabel. Katelyn and Alexis had a great time playing, while Amy and I had a great time talking while we played with Callie and Isabel!

After Amy and the girls left, we got ready and headed down to Ronnie and Tena's house for a baby shower for their daughter Margarett . She is having a baby girl in April, so I went through and picked out several outfits from Alexis' stash for her. I can't use them for Isabel anyway. We had a great time visiting down there. We left Alexis down there with Bill and Carol and Ross, Isabel and I headed to Rolla to get some shopping done.

It was Not Me! and Ross who had a blizzard from Dairy Queen before we even ate supper! We splurged and spent just a tiny bit of our tax return money at Walmart. We got this super cool Wii remote so we could have a second one.

Obviously, it's for me and Alexis to use!

We got back from Rolla around 10 and Meredith brought Alexis home to us. Ross took care of her bath and getting her to bed.

Soooo, it was Not Me! who just had to watch "New Moon" at midnight after I'd been awake since 7am after only getting about 4 hours sleep. I did manage to stay awake for most of it though. I started dozing around 2am, near the end of the movie, but it was worth it!

It was a crazy busy Saturday, but it was a good one. Sunday was much more laid back. In fact, it was Not Me! who neglected my mountain of laundry so I could play Wii for several hours with Ross and Alexis! It was also Not Me! who had a nice 2 hour nap with Alexis Sunday afternoon. And that pretty much wraps up my weekend!

Sausage Gravy & Biscuits

Happy Monday to you! I'm joining MckMama in her blog carnival of Not Me! Monday. Check out her blog to see all the Not Me! stories.

It's been a crazy busy weekend here in my neck of the woods. Saturday morning we were up bright and early headed to St. Louis. My nephew was celebrating his 7th birthday and the party was at "Pump It Up". It's a place full of those huge blow up bounce houses, slides and obstacle courses. The kids had so much fun!! And it was Not Me! who had just as much fun playing as the little ones did! ;)

We had some shopping to do in the afternoon and then over to my brother and sister-in-laws house to finish the birthday celebrations. We had a nice time seeing family. It had been since Christmas that Ross had seen any of my family and it had been a while since I've seen some of my siblings too. And it was Not Me! who ate way too much of the yummy food and ice cream cake!

Saturday evening Ross and I attempted to have a date night. We didn't get away from my Mom and Dad's house until 8:30 because we couldn't agree on a movie to go see. It was Not Me! who thought we should see the romantic comedy Valentine's Day since it was supposed to be our Valentine's date. My husband wanted to see Avatar. We didn't see either one. We ended up at Red Lobster, my favorite, and enjoyed a late dinner. We were almost finished and were going to figure out what else we wanted to do when we got the call to come back. Isabel wasn't taking a bottle and she wasn't happy at all. By the time we got there she had cried herself to sleep, so after a little snooze I got her up and fed her and she was as happy as a lark again. It all worked out just fine because we were pretty tired anyway.

Sunday morning comes and it's time for breakfast.....

It was Not Me! who was making biscuits and gravy. It was Not Me! who was cooking in a kitchen they were unfamiliar with, so it was Not Me! who used powdered sugar instead of flour to make the sausage gravy!

It really was Not Me! it was my sweet husband, the breakfast chef in our home! He really is an awesome breakfast maker so I should clarify here that he was in my Mom's kitchen and none of her canisters were labeled, so it was an honest mistake. He couldn't figure out why the gravy wasn't thickening up, and then my Mom saw the empty canister in the sink and asked if that is what he used. He said,"Yeah, I thought it was the flour." Well, it wasn't even close to flour!

We enjoyed some very sweet gravy with a few clumps of flour that were added to try and thicken it a bit. It was edible, but needless to say, not a mistake we'll do on purpose! We all enjoyed a good laugh about it and it really wasn't the most horrible thing I've ever eaten!

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It's Not Me! that keeps an ink pen, ranch dressing, Parmesan cheese and an orange in the butter keeper!
That would be the workings of my master mind, mischief making daughter, Alexis! Happy Monday!

Showers and Boogers

It is time once again to join MckMama in her blog carnival of Not Me! Monday.

Okay, just a little disclosure before I get started this week. I really am a clean person and I really am not nasty like I'm going to portray myself today. It's all about honesty though right?

I was totally on the ball and showered on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. So, it's Not Me! who hasn't had a shower since Friday....*I'm a total skeez today*. Let me give you the reason why. Saturday was a laid back day, didn't do much of anything that would have gotten me dirty, so I decided I would shower Sunday morning. Well, hum, it was a rough night with Isabel. She's all snotted up so she isn't sleeping well. Sunday morning came and I got up, but then as soon as Daddy rolled out of bed, I crashed on the couch for a few more hours.

By the time I got up, Uncle Jimmy had already arrived to help Ross do plumbing this weekend and the water was already shut off. By the time they had water back on, I was busy cooking dinner and I just put my shower off until bedtime. Bedtime for the girls came and I go to start their bathes. No hot water. Hubby checks into it and discovers that somehow the pilot light on the water heater had gone out. He gets it re-lit, but we'll have to wait for the water to heat up. No biggie, the girls can have a bath in the morning. And I'll just take my shower later once the water heats up. Somehow during all this, we end up getting no water out of the faucet at all. Something is wrong with the switch on the pressure tank, so Ross will have to go to the lumber yard Monday morning to get some parts.

So, it is absolutely Not ME! who hasn't had a shower since Friday!

I would never ever pick my kids boogers without having a tissue close at hand and I would never just wipe it off my finger onto the carpet since I need to vacuum today and we're getting new carpet installed next week anyway, Not Me!

I forewarned you that it was nasty this week!

Oh, and just so you know, the water is now fixed thanks to Uncle Jimmy and Ross and as soon as the dishwasher starts it's drying cylce, my nastiness is hitting the shower!

Oops! I was just proofreading and found several typo's. Sorry to those of you that have already read it. I've now showered and the girls are bathed. Ross is still a little stinky though!

My First Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first Not Me post. I'm going for a lot of firsts here lately, trying new things with my blog and life.

I did not let Alexis tear the house apart tonight while I cut and straightened the edges of the fleece blankets I'm making for her and Isabel...Not Me!

I did not put Isabel down for a nap the other day with a poopy diaper...Not Me!...really I didn't even realize, she's a sneaky pooper.

I did not one time put a bag of dirty diapers out on the front porch for the mongrel dogs that live around here to tear to shreds all over the yard and then let hubby clean it up...Not Me!

I did not let my daughter fall off the side of the chair tonight to teach her a lesson...Not Me!
